The Arts Council of Dorrigo is proud to announce the 2025 Dorrigo Annual Art Exhibition.
This wonderful exhibition brings the community together to showcase the area’s diverse artistic talent. It has become a key event since 1990 that attracts many visitors to the region.
Entry is open to everyone living on the beautiful Dorrigo Plateau.
This year’s exhibition is curated by David Tucker and Rudi Kistler and the theme is “Rain”
David Tucker states;
“I love the sound of rain when I am dry inside, glad of my shelter, and when it rains hard, I am still drawn to the window to witness the phenomenon.
The visual effect of rain is a soft distortion of the landscape. The three-dimensional distortion creates a foreground that is softened but stands out against objects further away that gradually lose definition until they disappear entirely. If there is enough light, as in a mid-summer storm, the effect is magical.”
The Dorrigo Annual Exhibition opens on Tuesday, 15th April at 6 pm and then runs from Wednesday 16th April to Monday 21st April, 10 am - 3 pm, at the Dorrigo Community Hall.
There are seven categories that will be judged and awarded.
Painting, Watercolour, Drawing & Printmaking, Photography, Sculpture, Fibre Art and Youth 13-18yrs.
Merchandise by local artists will also be available throughout the event.
