Greens Push for Fairer Tax on Corporations

Cost of living pressures have dominated discussions along the Federal election campaign trail of Greens candidate for Cowper Wendy Firefly.

“Cost of living is affecting everyone I speak to,” Wendy said.

“It’s disgusting that the big corporations are supported to make record profits while Australians are suffering from high food and rental costs.”

“We’re all being ripped off by the big banks, supermarkets and big corporations making massive profits.”

Wendy said the Greens are pushing to make big corporations and billionaires pay more tax, raising over $514 billion to fund essential services.

“One in three corporations don’t pay tax. All of our public health and education systems would benefit from a 10 per cent tax on these corporations.”

Wendy will be sharing her passion for change at the Urunga Riverside Markets this Sunday 13 April, the Bellingen Community Markets on 19 April and at meet the candidate forums across the electorate, including one planned for Bellingen on 15 April.
