Bellingen, NSW – June 20, 2025 – The Federal Hotel Bellingen is set to host an electrifying evening of music as the jazz fusion trio KT, Memo & Otis take the stage with special guest Mitch Burgess. This dynamic collaboration promises a night of soulful improvisation, blending original compositions with jazz standards, fusion, and blues.
About the Artists:
• Emiliano “Memo” Beltzer brings a melodious and dynamic presence on the electric 5-string bass. Originally from Argentina, his wide-ranging rhythmic styles, songwriting, and vocals add depth to the trio’s sound.
• Otis Narbutas Lyons, on drums, anchors the group’s rhythm with impeccable timing and sensitivity. His nuanced approach allows the music to evolve naturally, creating a cohesive and responsive musical environment.
• Katie Crane (KT) on electric guitar adds a warm, dynamic sound and sometimes… a bit of grit. There is often a bluesy vibe to her improvising, and she loves writing and singing new music. Her favourite guitar players are John Schofield, Grant Green, Kenny Burrell, and Wes Montgomery.
Joining them is Mitch Burgess, a versatile guitarist and vocalist from Woolgoolga, NSW. Mitch’s performances seamlessly blend blues, soul, and rock influences, delivering energetic and expressive sets. His innovative phrasing and heartfelt vocals have captivated audiences across the region. Beyond blues, Mitch’s proficiency in jazz adds a rich layer to his musical repertoire, making him a compelling collaborator for jazz ensembles.
