BELLINGEN – The Bellinger River Agricultural Society is presenting the community with a free, two-day SustainaBellingen Showcase on August 9-10, focusing on sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The free two-day SustainaBellingen Showcase on August 9-10 will do the job. Planned as part of the cancelled 2025 Bellingen Show, the two-day event will be held at the Bellingen Memorial Hall.
It will feature two full days of inspiring talks, interactive panel discussions, informative workshops, and community connection — all centered around sustainability, resilience, and environmental stewardship.
An exceptional lineup of speakers has jumped on board, including Graham Creed (former ABC weatherman turned farmer), Andrew the Bird Guy (local bird expert aka Andrew Turbill), and representatives from the NSW Department of Environment Climate Change and Water, Jaliigirr and the Koala Dogs.
Interactive panel discussions will tackle pressing issues like climate change, wildlife conservation, and building community resilience.
The SustainaBellingen Showcase represents the evolving nature of the Bellingen Show, embracing environmental stewardship alongside agricultural tradition. It’s being presented free of charge as a gift to the community from the Bellinger River Agricultural Society. The Bellingen Shire Council, Concatenations and Bellingen Shire Learning Alliance are also supporting the event.
Attendess can also experience the stunning short film “Whispers of Wilderness” created by the Coffs Coast National Parks Association and brought to life by local filmmakers Bathtime Productions. The film showcases the extraordinary biodiversity and natural beauty of our region through the sounds of local forests.
Even the famous Luncheon Room fare will make an appearance, with morning and afternoon teas offering scones with jam and cream, orange and almond cake and delicious mini quiche.
