Recent wet weather has hindered our bowls competitions, but last Wednesday saw beautiful sunshine with good numbers turning out at the North Beach Bowling Club.
Last week’s $5 voucher went to Tony Brown and Julie Capararo, $10 voucher to Norm Sipple and the “wineo” winner Tracey Young.
There was no bowls Thursday or Friday due to rain. The Sunday chook run saw a bit of sun with 18 players taking part. Frozen chook winners were Lou, Di Tree, and Micheal, vouchers winners were Ron and Mark. There were Beautiful hot dogs for lunch, with fresh rolls thanks to Vanessa. Thanks Mark and Deb for doing the cards.
Good luck to Troy Morris, Mark Learmonth, Luke McMillian and Chris Garrett representing the mighty North Beach Mud Crabs in the Regional open singles this Sunday at Sawtell and Park Beach and Bob Foster playing in the Reserve singles at Bowraville. Go the Mylestom Muddies!!
Remember to call the club to get your names down early for our social mixed bowls – all visitors and new bowler’s welcome. We have Coaching Tuesdays from 1pm with our legend Green Keeper and Coach Barry (Raider) Adams.
Social mixed bowls are on Wednesday, 10am to 12pm with random voucher winners. Social mixed bowls also on Thursday, 12.30pm to 4pm winning rink with jackpot player. Men’s Bowls Friday, 10am to 12pm and the Chook Run Sunday Mixed bowls, 10am to 12pm with lunch and vouchers to be won.
