Twenty-five players qualified for the Men’s Veterans Club Championships at C.ex Urunga Golf Club, with the annual three-round stroke event delivering competitive battles across A, B and C Grades. The demanding format tested consistency and composure, with both gross and nett honours awarded in each division.
A Grade
Kim Michelson secured the Gross Winner title with a steady performance, carding 237 gross / 216 nett (88, 77, 72), finishing strongly with the best final round in the grade. Arthur Hassett claimed the Nett Winner prize with 243 gross / 204 nett (84, 80, 79), his consistent form proving the difference over three rounds.
B Grade
The B Grade contest went down to the wire, with Warren Rawlings emerging as Gross Winner on 269 gross / 218 nett (93, 91, 85). The Nett Winner was John Anselmi, who strung together three determined rounds to post 279 gross / 210 nett (100, 87, 92).
C Grade
C Grade showcased some standout efforts, with Dennis Holmstrom taking out Gross Winner on 291 gross / 210 nett (98, 90, 103). The Nett Winner was Brett Bosbach, who improved with each round to close on 309 gross / 219 nett (107, 103, 99), showing strong composure throughout the event.
