‘Ulster American’ – Chaos and Comedy Collide

By Brad McCosker

A brilliant combination of characters have come together in an alchemy of chaos with serious under tones along with a good laugh.

David Ireland’s writing is complex and fast moving, and very capable of tackling life’s taboos, and Ulster American happily embraces tough personal and social issues with both grace and a sledge hammer.

This show is a real beauty, exposing a clash of culture and attitudes with some really hilarious moments. It’s both a mental and physical roller coaster ride filled with thought, feeling and clever dialogue.

I commend the cast and crew for a truly energising experience and flawless production.

There is still time for you to see Ulster American with the final show this Saturday the 12th of October. At the Bellingen Memorial Hall theatre. I highly recommend it.
