Bellingen Shire Arts Trail Weekend - 8 & 9 November 2025 10am - 4pm

The Bellingen Shire Arts Trail Weekend is an annual event that celebrates the creative talents of local artists and craftspeople in the Bellingen Shire region.

Art enthusiasts, collectors, and curious minds are invited to explore the artistic landscape of the Bellingen Shire. This year’s trail presents 31 open studios, galleries and shared spaces showcasing the diverse talents of over 80 of our local artists and craftspeople.

From Bostobrick and Dorrigo, down to Bellingen and Raleigh, and on to coastal Urunga, artists will open their doors for a glimpse into their artistic processes. Visitors have the opportunity to discover emerging talents, meet established creators, and purchase unique artworks directly from the artist.

There will also be music, dance and artist’s talks at some of the venues over the two days.

Whether you’re an avid collector or looking for inspiration, the Arts Trail will be the perfect way to spend your weekend. Please note some excellent artists have studios slightly out of the town - please don’t miss them!

With so much to see be sure to plan your trip using the Arts Trail website, brochure and maps. Venues will be easily identifiable by brightly coloured flags. Brochures are available at participating galleries, Shire libraries, visitor information centres and cafes. More information and detailed maps are on the website:

Dorrigo

Visitors can check out the studios and galleries in and around the scenic beauty of the Dorrigo Plateau. The famous Dorrigo Rainforest Centre will be showcasing its Summer Art Exhibition, and it will also be the venue for a performance by the NAIDU Theatre Company, from 10am to 11.30am on Sunday 9th.

The Arts Council of the Dorrigo will host multiple artists at the local CWA rooms, and The Dorrigo Plateau Fibre group will once again exhibit their beautiful works at the scout hall. Don’t miss the wonderfully eccentric found object sculptures, motorbikes and ceramics at The Edge of Time Gallery. Travelling north out of town visit Uncle Allan’s Onemobdreaming studio and the beautiful studios of James Whitington in Bostobrick, where several artists will be exhibiting.

Bellingen

Always a creative hub, Bellingen will have 18 studios and galleries opening for the weekend.

There are plenty of opportunities to find a beautiful painting, work on paper, textile and fibre art, ceramics and sculpture at the galleries, hotels and cafes in town.

This year, the Collective Four will be creating an interactive, site-specific art installation at the stables, (behind the Ambulance Station in Church St.)

Many ceramics are also on show from individual studios as well as the group exhibition at the Bellingen Potters collective in the centre of town, where you can meet a wide range of potters/sculptors and even have a go on the pottery wheel.

Raleigh & Urunga

Heading down to the coast, Arts Trail visitors will find stunning group exhibitions of furniture and wood sculptures, paintings and ceramics at Tree-O, Intertwined Gallery, and David and May Southgate’s studio. The Art Space, Urunga will have live music on Saturday 8th from 10am - 12noon
