Bellingen High School has donated a beautiful mosaic mural to the town centre, following their Wellbeing Day last term. Bellingen High HSC students Sidney and Willow conceived the idea of having a beautiful mural with a blue tree and nature theme to show that we are all connected. Students from Bellingen and Dorrigo High Schools worked on the mural throughout the day, designing their own motif designs of flowers, trees and creatures to create a stunning mural, facilitated by local artist Fi McAulay.
Wellbeing Day is an important event held at Bellingen High School each year, organized by Magda Pomroy and a range of wonderful activities are offered to all the students, with a focus on Wellbeing.
This generous gift from Bellingen High School now graces the alley adjacent to Hearthfire Bakery, for the whole community to enjoy and joins other colourful murals made by young people from Camp Creative mosaic courses.
It is so wonderful to see our young people participating in positive and creative contributions for our community.
