Sunday 21/12/’25, Lions Club of Bellingen’ Introduction of ‘Christmas Carols in the Park’ was a success. Returning again next year, 2026.
Christmas Carols were sung by Bellingen Public School, Michelle Warman, Bellingen Busking Band Teale and Bellingen High School. Thank you for your stupendous evening of Music, Songs and Dance entertainment. Well presented.
At half time, Santa emerged strolling towards his red seat, as children from everywhere flocked behind him like a magnet, lining up to sit with Santa and receiving a bag of Lollies as a gift for being good all year.
Bellingen Lions worked their hearts out. Cooking BBQ Sausage & Steak Sandwiches, Hot Chips. And cold drinks too, though NOT Cooked!
The demand for sausage sandwiches exceeded expectations, resulting in an early sellout.
Ice creams and icy poles were also well-received by the young ones.
Prior to the closing of the evening, on behalf of all Lions , a heartfelt tribute was given to four of our Lions club members passing in 2025. Ken Brooks, Bruce Tait, Virginia Selkirk, Wal Tyson.
President Peter Kemp handed our wonderful MC- Lion Jo Barr- flowers at the end of the evening thanking her for her Initiation, Effort, Time & Preparation for this event.
And 2BBB, Thank You for your support too.
It was agreed by all that the concert was a huge success, and our aim now is to improve on our efforts next year.
New Members are needed to keep this club moving into the future. The Joy of Giving time to support our community, New ideas, helping hands, putting a smile on everyone’s face.
