The Urunga Sail Training Club is looking forward to the new year with fresh sailing Courses starting again on February 14.
We had some wonderful weather last October over the 5 week (Saturdays) Learn to Sail Course and all our students were able to complete the Courses successfully.
“We see positive impacts on our Students with our Courses particularly for the younger ones, engaging them not only physically, but mentally - and it’s really fun way to learn life skills, working as a team and communicating with each other, while they learn how to rig, read the tides and adapt to wind conditions, and confidently skipper and crew a small sailing dinghy” says Derek Ridgley, Principal of the Urunga Sail Training Club.
The courses are adaptable to all age group’s with the Australian Sailing Accredited Instructor team working alongside you to help you have a unique experience. The skills learnt can be transferred to crewing and sailing on larger boats.
The Start Sailing 1 and 2 national small boat sailing courses are for beginners and anyone wanting to brush up on their sailing skills: so, no experience is necessary.
