The nett divisions were equally competitive, with Glenn Petersen of Urunga producing one of the rounds of the day to take out A Grade honours with an excellent 69. Clubmate Arthur Hassett followed with 70, while Andrew Petitt, also from Urunga, claimed third with 71. In B Grade, Lyn Bastick (Urunga) secured victory with 71 on countback, narrowly ahead of David McGilvray (Urunga), also on 71, with Lawrie Renshall (Urunga) third on the same score. C Grade nett honours went to Brett Bosbach of Urunga with 73, while Tracey Swanston (Urunga) finished second on 75 and Margaret Gill from Sawtell claimed third with 78.

Nearest the pin prizes were shared across the field, with Peter Drysdale of Urunga taking the honours on the 3rd, Nev Newman from South West Rocks on the 9th, Adam Wood of Bonville on the 12th, Stuart Bell from SGA Golf Club on the 16th, and Dean Hillier, also representing Bonville, claiming the 18th, capping off a day where the combination of sunshine, a superbly presented course and a deep regional field delivered a fitting showcase for one of Urunga’s premier events.
