Local sport clubs are being encouraged to lodge Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership (CBP) Grants Program, with up to $450,000 available for projects across the Oxley electorate.

The CBP program funds practical improvements to the places that bring communities together, including sporting grounds, community halls and other shared spaces.

Not-for-profit community organisations and local councils are invited to complete an EOI for grants between $10,000 and $100,000.

Member for Oxley, Michael Kemp, is urging local sports clubs, community groups, councils and not-for-profit organisations to take advantage of the funding opportunity and put forward projects that will strengthen local communities.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for our local organisations to secure funding for projects that make a real, lasting difference,” Mr Kemp said.

“The CBP program consistently delivers for our region by improving facilities, supporting local groups, and helping build stronger, more connected communities.”

Previous recipients from the 2025 CBP Grants in Oxley include the Bellingen Soccer Club Incorporated ($29543) for Connell Park Facility Enhancement and Sustainability Project. The Scotts Head Tennis Club also scored a new kitchen with a $33,042 grant.

The statewide program is investing $41 million in 2026 to support community infrastructure projects, with grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 available for individual initiatives.

Eligible projects include capital works such as the construction, refurbishment or maintenance of community facilities, as well as the purchase of equipment and vehicles that directly benefit the community.

The 2026 round will be delivered through a new two-stage application process, beginning with an EOI. EOIs close at 5pm on Friday, 8 May 2026. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by the end of June 2026, with successful projects to be announced in early 2027.

“These grants are about putting money straight back into our local groups and organisations to improve the community,” he said.

“It’s a fantastic way to get a project off the ground. Community-wide impact is key, and while big ideas are welcome, a step-down funding request will strengthen your application – especially as this funding is spread across four valleys.”
