Thursday, 7 May 2026 delivered another engrossing Medley Single Stableford where John Piggott emerged victorious after a three-way countback decided the top placings. Piggott’s 37 points were enough to take the win from visiting Nambucca Heads player John Buganey in second, while Daniel Swain from Coffs Harbour settled for third despite matching the winning total. Kim Michelsen narrowly missed the podium with 36 points. In the nearest the pin contests, Swain struck the best shot at the 3rd, Wally McGill claimed the 9th, John Leahy won the 12th and Bruce Parker took honours at the 18th.
The Parish Cup Stableford on Friday, 8 May 2026 saw Marlene Bishop take top honours after a composed round of 34 points. The veterans were back in action on Monday, 11 May 2026 and Peter Inskip produced the steadiest round of the day to win the Vets Championships with a nett 69. Ross Hardaker and Anthony Shields both posted nett 70s, with Hardaker claiming second on countback and Shields settling for third. Andrew O’Keeffe narrowly missed a placing despite also carding 70. Tom Faulkner dominated the nearest the pin competitions, winning all three contests on the 3rd, 9th and 18th holes in a remarkable display of precision iron play.
Unfortunately, the final three days of scheduled competition were washed out by persistent rain that swept across the region, leaving the course heavily saturated. Club members will now be hoping for a stretch of fine weather in the coming weeks to allow competitions to resume and the course to recover quickly from the heavy conditions.
