FemPower is a practical, trauma-informed 5-week program for women (18+) across different ages, cultures, and life stages.
It is a grounded, hands-on series focused on building confidence, strengthening boundaries, and developing practical everyday safety skills (including self-defence) in a supported group setting.
This program is suitable for referral, community sharing, or direct participation.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Across 5 weeks, participants explore and practise:
• Confidence in voice and communication
• Recognising boundaries and early warning signs
• Trusting instincts and everyday decision-making
• Practical self-defence skills
• Staying grounded under pressure
• Building confidence in everyday life
The focus is on learning by doing in a safe, structured group environment.
This is a trauma-informed program. It is facilitated in a way that supports choice, respect, and participation at each person’s own pace.
No prior experience is needed.

FACILITATORS
Wendy Firefly is the founder of LadyLand, an Empowerment Self-Defence (ESD+) practitioner and a survivor of domestic violence and works with women to recognise warning signs, strengthen voice, and develop practical everyday safety skills.
Olga Rubio Garcia is a registered counsellor, expressive arts therapist, and Empowerment Self-Defence (ESD+) practitioner, and founder of Spring to Mind. She has over 20 years’ experience in Australia in trauma-informed, community-based and clinical work supporting women’s wellbeing, boundaries, and confidence.
