In 2016, three friends with a shared love of theatre formed the Nambucca Valley’s newest theatre company: 3Wyz Wimmin. We were in our seventies, so we didn’t plan too far ahead — living in the moment becomes more than a trendy saying once you hit seventy — but the impact we have had over the past ten years has astonished us.
Described by one journalist as ‘witty and wise’, our productions have built an enthusiastic following. One audience member even travelled from the Nambucca Valley to Armidale to see us perform.
A decade on, that same spirit is still driving us: curiosity, courage, and the joy of telling stories that audiences recognise in themselves.
Our current production, SHE’, takes ‘witty and wise’ up a notch, bringing raw, honest drama together with our signature monologues. With only two performances at the Old Gazette Theatre in Dorrigo, this is the production we believe is our most powerful to date. Dates, times and everything else you need to know are on our website.
