For over two decades, visiting Camp Creative tutors have experienced the legendary warmth of Bellingen hospitality through our community hosting program. It’s a tradition where locals welcome talented tutors into their homes for the week, often forming lifelong friendships that see the same tutors returning to the same hosts year after year.
This year, we are facing an urgent shortage of hosts because many of our regular billets are traveling or welcoming their own families. We are interested in hearing from anyone in or close to town, but we have a particularly strong need for host homes located near Bellingen High School.
What Hosting Involves
Tutors generally require accommodation for six nights (arriving the day before Camp starts and departing the day after).
You can offer:
• A private bedroom in a shared house
• A self-contained flat, cabin, or studio
• A whole home (if you plan to be away during Camp week)
• A parking space for a caravan or campervan
Hosting is completely flexible. You are under no obligation to provide meals or transportation. Camp Creative works carefully to match hosts and tutors based on individual preferences and availability.
What’s in It for You?
Beyond the joy of connecting with an inspiring creative tutor, Camp Creative is delighted to offer every host one complimentary ticket to a Camp Creative course. You can use it to treat yourself to a week of learning or pass it on to a friend or family member.
If you have a space to spare and want to help keep this cherished community tradition thriving, we would love to hear from you.
