Mud and rain did nothing to dampen the incredible vibes and sounds emerging from the 2026 Riversounds Music & Arts Festival last weekend.
Festival Director Ben Lewis said a stellar and diverse line of bands and DJs, some wet weather preparations and community support produced a triumphant festival out of the mud.
“It was muddy and there were patches of heavy rain, but the vibe was awesome. The crowds just went with it and had fun,” Mr Lewis said.
“Three of the four stages were undercover, so you could get out if the rain if you wanted to.”
“It was a success on every level. The crowd numbers were good and up on last year. The bar was busy and we ran out of booze at 8pm on Saturday, but we got some more.”
“Most of all, the line up of music was awesome and we got lots of great feedback about the selections. Some of the artists we just wouldn’t normally get in a small town like Bellingen, and the community really responds to being able to access those artists and party in their hometown.”
Mr Lewis said the success of the 2026 Riversounds festival points towards a return in 2027.
