The Bellingen Branch of the Country Women’s Association is throwing open its doors this Thursday 21 May for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, inviting the whole community to pull up a chair and support a great cause.
From 10:30 AM at the CWA Rooms on Church Street, Bellingen, guests can enjoy a cuppa along with handmade scones jam and cream for just $10 a head, alongside a trading table brimming with locally made goodies. All funds raised will go to the Cancer Council.
The event is the latest in a series of fundraising efforts the Bellingen CWA has undertaken in support of cancer causes, a quiet but consistent commitment that speaks to the spirit of CWA Bello.
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is the Cancer Council’s signature annual fundraiser, and the largest event of its kind in the country. This year the Cancer Council is hoping to raise more than $15 million nationally to fund cancer research, prevention, and support services for those affected by the disease. More than a million Australians are expected to take part in morning teas at workplaces, schools, homes and community venues across the country.
Everyone is welcome, no bookings needed. Just come along, bring a friend, and enjoy a cuppa for a very good cause.
