Coalby Day and Joe Terror have a rich history of musical collaboration, primarily as session musicians for each other. In 2025, they ventured into a more focused partnership, leading to the creation of their project, Friends of Owl.
The pair start dropping their first singles from 28th May with “Give It Some”, a quirky banger packed with twanging acoustic guitars, sweet harmonies and subtle, yet infectious grooves.
Hailing from Grafton NSW, Joe has frequented Bellingen throughout his fourteen odd years of touring, most notably as a member of The Stained Daisies, performing the first ever RiverSounds Festival back in 2022.
On Sunday the 14th of June the brand new duo Friends of Owl kick-off their launch tour at The Bellingen Brewery, with support from longtime friend and Bello resident Mark Goatz.
