Wet conditions across the fortnight continued to impact play at C.ex Urunga Golf Club, restricting the schedule to just two competitions, including the Medley Single Stableford on Thursday, 21 May. With limited run on the fairways and a heavy track underfoot, Kevin Sanford produced a controlled round of 30 points to take first place, handling the conditions better than the field. Peter Wood finished just one point back on 29 to secure second, while Ross Hardaker claimed third on a countback with 27 points after edging a tightly packed group. With the course offering little reward for aggressive play, steady ball striking and course management proved key.
Friday, 22 May saw the Ladies Single Stableford played as the only other completed event for the week amid the ongoing wet weather. Again, with minimal run on the fairways making distance hard to come by, Donna Navin delivered the standout performance of the week, compiling an impressive 46 points to win convincingly. Jenny Tierney followed with 40 points to take second place, while Lyn Bastick secured third on a countback with 35 points in another closely contested finish. The ongoing wet conditions demanded patience and precision, rewarding those who adapted best to the slower, more challenging course.
